Come check out the 2012 Windsor~West Hants Pumpkin Regatta this Sunday, Oct. 14!
(Not only is Windsor, NS, the site of the world’s first pumpkin regatta, it is also the world’s largest.)
The Children's Wish Parade of Pumpkin Paddlers begins at noon, starting from the Hants County Exhibition Grounds, in Windsor.
The Opening Ceremonies will begin at 2:00 pm, with the first heat starting at 2:15.
Nearly 60 "personal vegetable craft" are expected for Sunday’s regatta. Participants will be competing in 3 classes: Motorized and Experimental, and Paddling - including single and doubles. Yes, you can put two people in a pumpkin!
