| The Canadian Cooperative Wildlife Health Centre at the Atlantic Veterinary College has confirmed the presence of bat white-nose syndrome (WNS) in Prince Edward Island’s bat population using diagnostic tests on a suspected case brought to them last month.

Local farmers will compete in Moncton this weekend to be named the Atlantic Region's OYF.

| The 2nd annual Canadian Agriculture Literacy Week (CALW) is now underway in schools across the country, running from March 3-9.
This year, the PEI Agriculture Sector Council will deliver ag literacy prpgramming to Kindergarten to Grade 4 students in 95 classrooms (more than 1,650 students) across Prince Edward Island.

| A couple of Newfoundland mussel farms will soon be receiving organic certification.
Laura Halfyard, who manages two of the fish farms on the island, said it was a lot of hard work to get the certification for the province.
It requires a mountain of paperwork, as well as monitoring the ocean waters.
She said they are the first mussels in North America to receive the label.
